Dancing Mindfulness uses the art form of dance as the primary medium of discovering mindful awareness, while also offering you tools for healing, self-awareness, and intentional living. It is an expressive arts experience open to everyone regardless of previous experience with dance, yoga, music, meditation, or spiritual practice. The beauty of Dancing Mindfulness is that it honors the invitation to “come as you are.”
We all have an inner dancer just waiting to come out, just as we are all capable of mindful awareness. Dancing Mindfulness is a community practice, not a clinical practice, although Dr. Silas draws on his expertise as a clinical psychologist and professional dancer to help create the safest dance practice possible within any given setting. Zero dance experience is needed; this class is for everyone!
