Marty Kestin
Marty Kestin, BS, MSW, LMBT, has been helping people out of pain and into functional and vibrant lifestyles for 15 years. As a pain-free and performance expert, Marty works with people suffering from chronic pain, joint, and orthopedic conditions, using a unique combination of neuromuscular bodywork and postural therapy to help restore comfort, ease, and freedom of movement. Marty provides holistic information, treatment and self-care options so clients can return to active and pain free lifestyles.
Originally a social worker and counselor Marty was drawn to bodywork after a severe car accident and the subsequent physical and emotional healing obtained with Massage Therapy and Zen Bodytherapy.
Marty received his soft tissue and bodywork training at the Chicago School of Massage Therapy with Dub Leigh, the founder of Zen Bodytherapy®, who studied with Ida Rolf, Moshe Feldenkrais, Milton Trager, and Raymond Nimmo, DC. Marty is a graduate of the Chicago school of Massage Therapy. He has also trained under Pete Egoscue (www.egoscue.com). Marty has a passion for teaching and gives continuing education workshops for the National Certification Board of Massage and Bodywork. He also presents educational workshops to yoga, Pilates, and fitness professionals on a wide range of topics – all centered on pain elimination and performance enhancement.
