A Simple Act

Go to the field and start running, even for a very short period, with all of your might. And if this, for any reason, physically or otherwise, is not possible, do so in your mind. And then stop. Feel your heart beating against your chest, your blood rushing and your breath labored but alive. And know, above all else, that feeling of joy and release from what seems like a simple act. It is simple acts that do this, even if you’re not running but standing still. One step at a time.
