Made Up Stories

Made up stories of demons and beasts among us are excuses for perceived personal failures and defeat. The real malicious force is doubt and not looking at humanity as more than humans; more than people who are like you, people who are not agreeing with you, people who don’t look like you or act like you or pretend to think that the way you are is in any way superior. So, I ask you, would it cost so much to stop judging and instead raise your arms up in embrace of a wider world? Acknowledge feeling and pain in all beings? Accept the wisdom and grace that expands your world – or has the capacity to do so? If you’re feeling overwhelmed now, then let go of what you feel must be, or how it must be, and surrender to see wisdom as will of God, trusting that a new path will be amazing. Even in that path there will be people you know and people you want to know. But not everyone. Some people, holding you back because you allow them to, are not invited. That doesn’t mean you can’t love them; it is means that you need to move forward. And that’s OK. It helps them too, and that’s the whole point, isn’t it?
