Giving Grace

Let us sit in peace contemplating the world as it is, but not fighting it. Finding appreciation in small gestures and privileges that aren’t so small to much of the world, and giving grace for gifts, that are often overlooked. And in the end, and in the beginning, and – pay attention – in the middle, find peace. Find love. Recognize love. And still your mind, not to darkness but to light, elation and glory. Smile at life in its every moment, and express your joy with the smile of the Mona Lisa, kind and benevolent and content. Confident but not arrogant. Comfortable but not closed off. Inviting but not salacious. Humble and pious, but not self conscious and afraid, insecure or otherwise self-inflicting. Let us sit in peace. And in that peace invite both God and your guides to join us in a moment of quiet, still, subtle celebration.
