Endings

New beginnings don’t always come with trumpets blaring, and angels singing, and clouds parting and the sun coming out. They often arrive in darkness, grief and despair, when light is seen and blessings recognized where no one else can imagine they exist. Endings, on the other hand, are greeted with song and dance, and bacchanalian celebrations that go on all night long and into the morning. Doesn’t make any sense? Well, in this moment we understand. But we assure you that it will. This is not foreboding – quite the opposite. It is hope.
